welcome,
I’M LENNA
I love my family & friends dearly, God who created & saved me, and get overly excited by beautiful skies, old bookstores, planning travels, and the artistry in both cities and mountains alike.
Big or small, I believe that every story is valuable for preservation—and when I’m not taking photos, you might find me smiling at my computer as I edit your photos because I get so darn excited by a photo that feels just right.
SOME OF THE OTHER THINGS I love
† God—the ultimate Creator and inspiration for all my creativity
~ traveling & researching new places
~ my community
~ hiking
~ books, books, & books
~ a mug of steaming hot black coffee or tea
~ (basically, just hand me a camera, notebook, & get me outside)
As a documentary-style photographer, one of the things that makes me feel most alive is when I am working on capturing a new story or doing research to capture it well. I believe that your story, no matter how simple you may think it be, is worth preserving beautifully & with excellence. The everyday rhythms of life are, after all, the rhythms that shape the world.
I specialize in capturing the honest & beautiful moments that cause you to pause & remember the laughter or the tears, the pure joy or the difficulty—the people behind each photo’s story.
HERE TO HELP CAPTURE YOUR legacy & PRESERVE YOUR history.
inspired by the colors of nature, the world, & the stories in it.
Some of my earliest memories include my extended family all gathered in our home for celebrations, and my grandparents pulling out their disposable cameras—and of course the good ol’ point-and-shoot—to capture our life & memories. I cherish those photos, as they preserve a part of my history that might otherwise be forgotten.
Here’s one of my favorite photos of my grandma and great-grandma taking a photo of each other—I can still hear us all laughing over this one :)
Photos like these are an example to me of how a photo can help keep someone’s memory alive & remind me of the kind of person I want to strive to be.
I am a firm believer in the power of new experiences that push & challenge you, and this has led me to pursue many incredible creative opportunities that have deepened my love for culture, the world, and all of the unique stories in it. This guides & helps me grow in my ability to tell stories in an honest way—in part through the lens of my camera.
I would love to connect with you to do the same.
